Sculpture Workshop at Scottsdale Artists' School:
"Capturing Beauty in Clay" Feb. 18th – 21st, 2013
The workshop explored figurative sculpture in depth, for beginning to advanced levels. Students worked in water-based clay over an armature with a live female model. The class covered form, proportions, relationships and the flow of a composition. Students were taught what to look for in setting a pose, and learned balance and composition in the figure. Each student received personal attention from Ms. Marcus. Demonstrations throughout the week helped illustrate various techniques.
